Interview with Vice president Jaewhan Lee of KTO (Korea Tourism Organization)

Creating a second Middle East boom through tourism, holding K-Tourist Roadshow Dubai and Abu Dhabi simultaneously.


The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization (hereinafter referred to as the corporation) will hold K-Travel Week (5.1~5.6) in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, to achieve quick results after the government's summit economic diplomacy.



Starting with the "Arabian Travel Market (5.1~5.4), the largest tourism fair in the Middle East, the event will continue to introduce the Korea-UAE Tourism Enterprise Cooperation Forum, K-Tourist Startup IR (Business Investment Attraction Briefing) and various K-Culture to Middle Easterners.


In particular, more than 10 local investors, including 18 domestic startups and the UAE sovereign wealth fund (Mubadala), will participate in the Korea-UAE Tourism Business Cooperation Forum and K-Tourist Startup IR, which will be the first in the Middle East to support the globalization of domestic tourism companies. In addition, as a follow-up to the UAE economic delegation's participation in January, Yanolja and UAE's leading travel company Alize are scheduled to sign the first contract and present a vision for the export of digital tourism services to the Middle East, which is expected to be a meaningful first step for domestic tourism companies to globalize.
