Aisha Alabbar Gallery: Celebrates the art of printmaking

NEW REPRESENTATIONS

Shama Al Hamed (b. Abu Dhabi, 1999) is a visual artist who earned her Bachelor of Visual Art degree from the Collage of Arts and Creative Enterprises at Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2022.

Her practice centers on capturing moments from her life through paintings and installations. All of her work represents self-portraits in a conceptual manner, illustrating the continuous evolution of her mind, including her subconscious. This subconscious reveals different stories and conflicts within her work. She frequently explores self-portraits with a narrative that blends observation with the dreamlike nature of the subconscious. Using painting as her primary medium, she transforms patterns into art, infusing each piece with a unique storyline.

Armin Najb (b. Tehran, 1989) is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and art jewelry. With a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering from Azad University, his work prominently features kinetic mechanisms and magnetic fields. Najib's creative process emphasizes improvisation and the development of unique tools to bring his concepts to life.

Najib initially began his career as an art jeweler, an experience that deepened his understanding of the concept of the 'Precious.' He then applied this insight to his sculpture and painting, an aspect often neglected or undervalued.

WE ARE RELOCATING!

Reflecting on the past 5 years spent in this space, we’re filled with gratitude for the memories made. However, it’s time to turn the page and embark on a new chapter as we prepare to relocate to a new space over the summer.

We express our deepest appreciation to all our supporters who have been with us throughout our journey. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our new location.

Hint hint… it’s in the infamous Arts & Culture District of Dubai
